Research Activities

Isabel Sá-Correia research interests are in the fields of Molecular and Cellular Microbiology, Functional and Comparative Genomics and Bioinformatics, and Microbial Biotechnology. Research strategies explore the Physiological Genomics approach to allow a holistic understanding of the complex cellular adaptive responses and tolerance of yeasts and gram-negative bacteria to environmental stresses and other challenges relevant to guide the improvement/control of their activity in Industrial, Agro-Food, Health, and Environmental Biotechnology
